Hi, I’m Siew Yuen, most people call me Gobbs. Forest Creatives Has Been a Long Time Coming.
Forest Creatives didn’t start as a business plan. It started with a goal, to collaborate with like-minded people. That’s exactly what happened, for a while.
Reviving it has been a long-time goal of mine since. Not just to pick up where I left off, but to come back with more to offer.
The Revival
In between, I completed a Digital Marketing course, an Advanced Certificate in UX/UI, and a Digital Project Management course. I wanted to bring clients results, not just good looks.
A Bit More About Me
I’ve also been on the receiving end of a coaching program myself, and I’ve stayed a health science enthusiast for years. So when a coach or wellness founder talks about their work, I’m not just nodding along. I understand what’s actually being built, and I care about the outcomes as much as the visuals.
What This Means For You
This isn’t a first attempt or a side project. It’s a business I’ve deliberately rebuilt to be more useful than it was the first time around. Grounded in strategy and project discipline, not just visual instinct.
How I Work
I don’t jump straight to logos and colour palettes. Before anything gets designed, I want to know exactly who you’re talking to and what you actually stand for. That’s the buyer persona and brand positioning work. Once that’s locked in, the identity and website come together on something real, not a guess.
On Being One Person
I work as a solo designer, so you’re talking directly to the person doing the work. No account managers, no relay of messages. For the pieces outside my craft, like copywriting and print production, I bring in trusted partners so the final result is polished from every angle.
